Glovers Solicitors LLP recognised in The Legal 500 – 2012 Edition

Glovers has achieved wide coverage in seven key practice areas in the recently published Legal 500.

Glovers continues to be ranked alongside some of the largest city firms. The Legal 500 assess firms not only on size and resources, but also on the extent to which a client recommends that firm in a particular field. The recognition Glovers has received in the 2012 Edition is an independent confirmation of the continued strength of the firm.

Our practice areas are recognised as follows:

Commercial Property (General, Development, Hotels and Leisure), Construction, Property Finance, Property Litigation and Professional Negligence:  the firm is recommended or mentioned in each of these categories.

Commercial Property: Glovers again achieved a ranking for its commercial property work, with separate entries for general Commercial Property work, Commercial Property – Development, and Commercial Property – Hotels and Leisure (Glovers is ranked highly, in tier 3, in this third practice area).

Construction: Glovers is ranked once again for its Construction work, with the Legal 500 stating that Glovers’ ‘cost-effective’ group represents Sir Robert McAlpine in construction disputes and that practice head, Philip Eyre, has ‘good technical expertise’

Property Finance:  Ranking Glovers yet again for its Property Finance work, the Legal 500 writes that Glovers acted on development and investment financings for Close Brothers, EFG Private Bank and United Trust Bank and also advised Investec Bank on a loan facility regarding 187 student studio units in Whitechapel. Andrew Parker and Richard Gilchrist are recommended.

Property Litigation: Glovers is again ranked in the Legal 500 for its Property Litigation Work. The Legal 500 notes that Glovers’ ‘extremely competent’ team saw an increased flow of insolvency-driven Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 disputes.  Team head Edward Vaughan (also joint senior partner of the firm) and Kenny Friday are described as having ‘excellent’ client liaison skills.

Professional Negligence: The firm achieved a ranking once again for its Professional Negligence work.
