Cinemas, Theatres and Event Spaces
This is an area where our practice has developed significantly in recent years.
We largely act for occupiers taking cinema, theatre or event space. This is commonly complex leasehold transactions and involves not only the negotiation of contractual documentation but also ensuring that detailed technical information is properly incorporated into the documentation that is agreed with landlords.
Our expertise, therefore, extends not only to providing a first-class legal service but also to fully understanding our clients’ build and operational requirements and ensuring that these are properly addressed. We also always look to add invaluable commercial input to negotiations.
Examples of work undertaken by the team here include:
- Acting for the boutique cinema chain, Everyman Media Limited, on its cinema acquisition and estate management work.
- Acting for Wild by Tart, the food and lifestyle brand on the letting of their premises at Eccleston Yards in Belgravia incorporating mixed use event, restaurant, bar and photography studio space.
- Acting for a community theatre on property related matters in connection with its taking of a lease within a new build scheme.
